Whether you are new to Tara Mandala or a seasoned practitioner, our network offers a variety of resources to support you on your path. You can connect with other practitioners, access online teachings, and participate in group practice sessions—all from the comfort of your own space.
Groups are also created for programs that are currently taking place where you can seek support, encouragement, and maintain connections with fellow participants.
Our intention is that the Tara Mandala Network:
Creates a sense of community that transcends geographical barriers, empowering members to connect, explore, and develop as practitioners.
Provides a wide range of resources and daily practice opportunities to support and encourage members to establish and deepen their practice.
Offers an inclusive space for everyone to feel valued and connected, accommodating to members' diverse backgrounds.
Allows members to engage with the content and with each other within the intentional container that the network provides.
Empowers members to tailor their own experience, with customizable settings that allows them to make their profile as minimal or detailed as they wish, to control their privacy preferences, notifications, and the content that they see within the network.
Prioritizes the safety and security of members, with robust privacy settings, and other features that help to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone in the community.
The Tara Mandala Network is a valuable space for practitioners to come together, support each other, and nurture their path. We invite you to join us in this virtual community and explore diverse benefits it has to offer.
Tara Mandala is a vibrant international Buddhist community with over 40 groups around the world and is centered at the 700-acre Retreat Center outside of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. It was established in 1993 by Lama Tsultrim Allione and her late husband, David Petit, to foster the development of innate wisdom for the benefit of all beings.
“Tara Mandala was created to bring people together to support each other, practice, and do retreat in order to reach realization. The second purpose of Tara Mandala is to be a temenos for the emergence of the sacred feminine, through the lens of Vajrayana, leading to the balance of genuine partnership between the masculine and feminine in our world.”
– Lama Tsultrim Allione
Tara Mandala offers a complete path of meditation practice and study from beginning instructions in meditation, mindfulness, and compassion to deep retreat in the tradition of Vajrayana Buddhism. Tara Mandala is unique in that Lama Tsultrim’s teachings weave the ancient wisdom of Buddhism with transformative aspects of Western psychology. Accessible practices such as Feeding Your Demons® and Mandala Training are appropriate for beginners and advanced students alike who are looking to develop their hearts, minds, and emotional awareness to lead more fulfilling lives and be of greater benefit in the world. Tara Mandala offers long-term programs, onsite and virtual retreats, online courses, and local events throughout the United States and around the globe and is committed to fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all people to explore the teachings of the Buddha and to cultivating a community that values diversity.
